A Sneak Peek into Different Types of Synthetic Carpets You Can Choose from

Of late, nylon carpets are becoming pretty popular owing to a number of reasons. They are softer, lighter and are easier to clean. And there are other reasons behind it. These carpets are less expensive, they are strong and durable and most importantly, are stain resistant. But that’s a different story. Let us discuss the various types of synthetic carpets that are available in the market.

Nylon carpets

Nylon is one of the most commonly used synthetic fibres. In fact, it has been, for years, considered as the ‘ultimate’ fibre for carpet, with a very high ability to get back to its original shape and form, after being compacted or flattened by any external force. This is called resiliency and this ability translates into very high durability.

Polyester

This is another type of synthetic carpet available in Sydney like anywhere else, which is versatile. Versatility is one of the reasons why it has been in use for carpeting since ages. While previously, polyester was considered to be of much lower quality than nylon, technological development has narrowed that qualitative gap. Of late, high quality polyester carpets are also available.

Triexta

This is the latest carpet fibre that created a lot of buzz in the industry. Though triexta comes quintessentially from the same origin as polyester, there are a few very significant differences between triexta and polyester. The most noteworthy difference is that triesta is far more stubborn and resilient than polyester. It is much softer as well, from polyester. Of late, a variety of triexta carpets are being manufactured using biotechnology. The process involves the use of corn glucose, and this makes these carpets eco-friendly.

Olefin

Olefin, which is alternatively termed polypropylene, is another very commonly found synthetic carpet available in Randwick. This particular material is also used in the making of rugs, as olefin has a striking resemblance with wool. However, Olefin is considered to be a little bit more durable than the other varieties of synthetic fibres and hence special care is needed to cleanse them.

And that is the reason, they are used in the manufacture of carpets for areas that do not enjoy much footfall, where resiliency is not as crucial as in other areas. Olefin, however, comes with very high stain resistance power, and is thus, an ideal choice for areas that are prone to liquid spills. Olefin is also extremely fade resistant.

Thus you see, there are so many types of synthetic carpets available in the market and you can choose the one from them as per your choice.
